Meet Liberty!

Meet 9-year-old Liberty! This brave and gracious little girl was diagnosed at birth with a rare genetic disorder known as Trisomy 10Q, which causes severe hypotonia and muscle weakness. Liberty can walk, but she struggles with endurance and fatigues easily. Tasks like going up stairs and running are very difficult for her.

Liberty, or as her family calls her, “Birdy”, is a very driven young lady. She enjoys American Girl dolls, especially Kirsten, a pioneer from the mid-1800s, and enjoys learning about history. Birdy also loves to visit the Disney theme parks with her family and meet her favorite Princesses, Ariel and Moana. She enjoys listening to Christian worship music and classic Taylor Swift songs. Birdy is a kind-hearted and loving girl. She always puts others needs before her own!

Liberty needs a Rifton therapy bike. This bike will aid in her balance and coordination and give her the opportunity to be active with her brothers and cousins. She has never been able to ride a typical bike, due to fear of falling, as standard equipment does not accommodate her balance and stability needs, but she is highly motivated to push forward on a therapy bike!
