Meet 8-year-old Matteo! Matteo spent the first four months of his life in the NICU, where he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. As a result, he experiences weakness in his arms and legs, affecting his muscle tone, strength, and balance. Despite these challenges, Matteo is a happy, active child whose spirit shines bright.
He loves being outside, soaking in the world around him. Whether he’s watching Moana or enjoying his favorite meal—Mom’s homemade chicken and veggies—Matteo always finds joy in the little things. Though he is nonverbal, his smile speaks volumes. He’s a strong, loving boy who inspires everyone he meets and makes the world a better place just by being in it.
Thanks to the generosity of the Miami Elks Lodge #948 Matteo has received the much-needed Adaptive Therapy Tricycle. This specially designed trike will allow him to continue his physical therapy at home in a fun, motivating way. It will help build his strength, improve his balance, and bring him the independence and joy every child deserves.
