Meet Miguel!
Meet 17-year-old Miguel! Miguel recently moved to the US from Venezuela. He was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy when he was one year old, after his dad noticed some delays. While he is able to walk with the assistance of a walker/gait trainer, he struggles with distances.
Miguel is described as a studious young man who excels in his computer skills. He is also involved in equine therapy and adores horses! Miguel’s favorite singer is popular Mexican artist, Christian Nodal. In his spare time, he works hard on his walking skills and attempts to take a 30-minute neighborhood walk every day! Miguel’s big heart and kind personality makes him a hero to all he meets!
Miguel received a Rifton therapy bike to help him gain muscle strength, range of motion and move around more independently. Special thanks to Athletes Helping Athletes for being his generous sponsor!
