Meet Mya! She is a 9-year-old girl with the most amazing personality in the world! She loves watching Fuller House and swimming. Mya has an Ataxia from a brain tumor which has resulted in her undergoing multiple craniotomies.

Mya loves all music and really enjoys listening to her favorite artists, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. Swimming is an activity that she is able to do on her own thanks to the benefits of water therapy. Her mom says it makes Mya “feel free being able to swim on her own.”

Mya’s last surgery has caused her to lose her memory and is relearning all her basic motor functions again. As she gains strength in her muscles, her family and medical team believe an adaptive tricycle will greatly benefit Mya and help her progress with physical therapy.

Thanks to the generosity of Kelly Brown from No Naked Walls, Mya was surprised with her brand new therapy trike at our 14th annual Wheely Good Time Event! Now Mya will be able to join her sister for bike rides in the neighborhood and strengthen her muscles while having fun!
