Meet Nathan, a 19-year-old young man diagnosed with Epilepsy and Microdeletion Syndrome. He was having 20+ seizures a month, which caused him to have several hip surgeries, with the last leaving Nathan unable to walk. Despite the many challenges, Nathan remains loving and happy.
He has several interests. He likes watching Sponge Bob Square Pants when he’s not curled up with mom or dad, reading his favorite books. Nathan enjoys listening to music and grooving to the beat. Nathan is known to be a peaceful guy who enjoys spending time at the beach with his family. Even though he is quiet, he inspires everyone and makes our world a better place.
The severity of Nathan’s seizures has made him completely dependent on others for all mobility-related activities. He needed a new manual wheelchair to help him stay involved in both school and home activities. Thanks to some very special sponsors, Nathan has now received his new wheelchair — giving him greater comfort and the ability to be part of the world around him.
