Meet Olivia!
Meet 11-year-old Olivia! Olivia is an equally passionate and lovable girl who enjoys exploring the world around her. She is resilient as they come! Right before she turned 1 years old, she battled a form of leukemia which forever changed her world. The radiation treatment she received caused cavernous malformations on both her brain and spinal cord. Cavernous malformations are vascular abnormalities that are abnormal clusters of thin-walled, leaky blood vessels. This ultimately caused her to become paralyzed, and she relies on a wheelchair for her daily mobility needs.
Olivia loves everything Disney! She is especially a fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Her favorite place to visit is Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and she likes to watch the pirates voyage dinner show when she is there. Olivia likes reptiles and fish and also likes to eat Italian food with her family.
Olivia’s family currently struggles to safely transfer her into the family bathtub. They need an alternative solution to meet her bathing needs. Her current standard bathtub poses a severe fall risk and prevents independent use.
