Meet Piper!
Meet 5-year-old Piper! This brave little girl was diagnosed with microcephaly as a baby and then later diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was two years old. While she is able to scoot and make her way slowly to where she needs to go, she is unable to walk without assistance. She currently wears AFOs and uses a gait trainer and a wheelchair for distance.
Piper is truly unstoppable! She is resilient and easy-going. Piper is a thrill-seeker and enjoys riding roller coasters. She is a fan of the Disney Princesses and especially loves Elsa, Rapunzel, and Moana. Disney songs always cheer her up and put a smile on her face, especially the showstopping hit from Frozen II, “Show Yourself.” Much like the song, Piper is not afraid to show who she really is—an amazing, strong, loving girl capable of doing anything she puts her mind to!
Piper received Rifton therapy bike. This bike will help her with coordination and balance while also providing her with a fun activity she can participate in with her peers. Special thanks to the Athletes Helping Athletes for being her amazing sponsor!
