Meet Rihanna!
Meet 9-year-old Rihanna. This adorably kind little girl was diagnosed as an infant with a chromosomal anomaly known as ataxia type 29. She is non-verbal, can maintain sitting without support, but requires maximum assistance to walk.
Despite the challenges Rihanna faces, she is an intelligent and loving child. She enjoys playing soccer and attempts to play basketball with her brother. Rihanna is a fan of Bluey, Peppa Pig and the Nickelodeon show, My Squishy Little Dumplings. One of her favorite places to go is Wal-Mart, where she enjoys perusing the toy aisles for plushies and Squishmallows. You can often find Rihanna playing on her tablet or reading a book with her mom. Her sweet personality can charm anyone she meets!
Rihanna needed a new manual wheelchair. She had outgrown her current chair, which did not safely support her posture. We are most grateful to our sponsors at Costco for providing Rihanna with her new wheelchair! She is flourishing due to their incredible gift!
