Meet Rochel!

Meet 5-year-old Rochel! Rochel was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder called spinocerebellar ataxia type 5. Her disorder has significantly impacted her coordination and the ability to navigate her surroundings independently. She currently utilizes a gait trainer and can only walk a few steps unassisted. She fatigues easily, but is working on building her endurance.

Rochel is a fun-loving and feisty little girl. She loves going to school where she is currently learning her ABCs and 123s. She also enjoys books and her current favorite is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Rochel gets much joy from attending her equine therapy. She has a large imagination and enjoys playtime with her dolls. Some of her other favorite hobbies include painting and swimming. Rochel’s bubby personality makes her stand out in the crowd. She is always smiling and ready for the adventures of each new day!

Rochel is in need of a therapy bike. This bike will allow her to negotiate her surroundings safely while helping her build endurance. It will also be a fun social activity she can participate in with her peers. Please be her sponsor!
