Meet Roman!
Meet 8-year-old Roman! This fearless boy was born with a heart defect leading to pulmonary hypoplasia. He was born prematurely and had to have heart surgery. When he was only a few months old, he contracted a lung disease that led to more complications, and he had to have a trach inserted. He is also oxygen dependent. Roman may require a lung transplant in the future if conditions worsen.
Despite Roman’s complications, he remains a resilient and determined little guy! He enjoys watching the popular children’s show, Cocomelon, and loves to listen to the intro on repeat! He is happiest when he is outdoors, especially going on walks in his stroller taking in the scenery, or trips to his local park where he can swing on the swings. Roman enjoys life’s simple pleasures!
