Meet 14-year-old Sabina. She has a rare diagnosis called Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation – PMM2-CDG. Because of this condition, Sabina experiences challenges with balance, posture, and coordinating voluntary movement. Despite these obstacles, she remains a determined, curious, and joyful young girl.
Sabina has many interests that brighten her days. She is a huge fan of all things Barbie and princesses, and she loves watching Moana and other Disney Princess movies. When she’s not enjoying her favorite films, you’ll often find her curled up with her mom reading beloved books together. Sabina is a bright girl who especially loves art class, where she can express her creativity.
She also enjoys watching football with her brother and proudly cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. Most of all, Sabina adores her dogs, Tahoe and Peppa. Known as a true love bug, she has a special way of cheering people up and bringing smiles to those around her. She also enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
Sabina inspires everyone she meets and truly makes our world a better place.
Sabina needed a lightweight power wheelchair to help her gain more independence and continue exploring life with her unstoppable spirit. Thanks to a very special sponsor, she has now received her new chair.
With this, Sabina is able to navigate her school day on her own, without having to rely on others. It’s given her a sense of freedom, confidence, and independence that she truly needed and deserves.
