Meet seventeen-year-old Sara! She is a friendly kid that loves listening to all types of music. Her favorite artist is Laurie Berkner and loves playing with musical toys. She enjoys being read to and particularly like books with a lot of pictures in them.

Sara was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a progressive disease that affects motor skills and speech. Sara is nonverbal, communicating through the use of an eye tracking device and reaching out to touch a highly preferred item. Sara uses a wheelchair because she is unable to stand on her own.

Sara has outgrown her current stander and needs a new one that can better support her during transfers and to use at school. Thank you to our grantor the Rappaport Foundation and the UPS Store for their generous contribution!
