Meet Sofia!
Meet 5-year-old Sofia. Sofia was diagnosed at age two with cerebellar hypoplasia, which affects her balance and ability to walk steadily. Although she can walk short distances, she struggles with coordination and control of her body.
Sofia remains cheerful and is a determined little girl who sets out to always do her best. She enjoys watching the Disney/Pixar classic, “Up” as well as cartoons and Blippi. She tries her best to remain active by swimming and playing with her friends at their local park. Sofia is an animal lover, and she collects farm animal toys. Hands on activities such as painting and building things with Play-Doh are among her favorites. Sofia’s strength and motivation are inspiring, as she continues to always keep a smile on her face!
Sofia received a Rifton therapy bike. This bike will provide her with a fun activity where she can practice her coordination and continue to grow her muscle strength. Special thanks to Baycare for being her sponsor!
