Meet Tate!

Meet Terrific Tate! This easy-going 9-year-old was diagnosed with encephalomyelitis after a brain tumor was found when he was only an infant. He had to have a shunt inserted and recently required a revision. While he can walk short distances on his own, he has hip dysplasia, walks with a limp and fatigues easily.

Tate is a happy and loveable little boy! His laugh and smile are contagious. Playing on the playground, going down slides and trips to the beach or his local swimming pool are some of his favorite outings. Tate loves to be in the water! He also enjoys dancing along to classic children’s songs, such as “The Wheels on the Bus”- in fact, Tate has a collection of toy buses that he plays with daily. Tate enjoys when his grandmother reads him his favorite story, “The Rainbow Fish!” Perhaps Tate’s greatest attribute is his big heart. He is an affectionate and loving boy who enjoys warm hugs!

Tate needs a therapy bike. This bike will help improve his muscle strength and coordination while also providing him with a fun activity he can participate in with his peers. Please consider a sponsorship so he can continue his strength training and emotional regulation.
