Meet Westen!
Meet 7-year-old Westen! Westen was born a healthy baby and lived a normal life until he was diagnosed with Stage 1 malignant rhabdomyosarcoma, cancer of his chin in 2023. He had to have a year of chemo treatments and spent 18 months at St. Jude. He had a major surgery on his face, and unfortunately the surgery affected the muscles in his lower right leg. It became so severe, he almost had to have it amputated! Now, Westen is wheelchair bound and has to relearn to walk.
Despite his challenges, Westen perseveres! He has a happy-go-lucky positive outlook on life and continues to live each day to its fullest potential. Westen is a fan of Spiderman and the Avengers. He also enjoys drawing and coloring and is quite the artist! He has a collection of Hot Wheels, LEGOs, and blocks he loves to build with. Westen is truly a remarkable boy and spreads joy to all he meets.
