Meet Muhammad Zian! Muhammad Zian is nine years old and loves collecting Hot Wheel cars and watching his favorite movie Sonic. His favorite subject in school is Math, and reads a lot of the popular children’s novel Dog Man.

Muhammad Zian has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive neuromuscular disease, which means he has difficulty standing, walking long distances, and has an increased fall risk. As he gets older and the world around him grows, he is experiencing fatigue and falls at his school. Muhammad Zian is physically unable to propel a manual wheelchair independently.

Muhammad Zian’s parents reached out to W4K with a heartfelt request — their son needed a new power wheelchair, one that would allow him to participate fully at school and enjoy outings with his family. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Sorenson Legacy Fund, Muhammad Zian now has the freedom and independence he deserves. His new power wheelchair is already making a difference, helping him thrive both in the classroom and in the moments that matter most with his loved ones.
