Meet Roaa!
Meet 9-year-old Roaa. Roaa was born with a rare mitochondrial disorder. This affects her muscles, balance, vision and hearing, and has also caused her to have developmental delays. Roaa is non-verbal. She is able to walk, but fatigues easily and often falls down.
Despite Roaa’s challenges, she remains a playful little girl. She loves going to the playground, as it brings her much joy! Anytime Roaa is outdoors enjoying the fresh air, is when she is happiest. Roaa likes listening to children’s songs and nursery rhymes, as they always cheer her up and make her smile! She has a collection of stuffed animals she likes to take with her wherever she goes. Just like her beloved “stuffies,” Roaa is as cuddly as a soft teddy bear!
Roaa is in need of a roll-in shower for her bathroom. Due to her balance issues, she needs assistance when showering, so she won’t slip and fall. She currently uses a bath chair, but because Roaa is growing, it is hard to fit her and her chair into their current tub. Please be her sponsor!
