Devon’s New Stander!

14 year-old Devon bravely endures Lennox Gastrome Syndrome and a Seizure Disorder. His life is immensely challenging. He is non-verbal and has little mobility independence. Remarkably, Devon’s family describes him as lovable and always joyful.

The stander was sponsored by a boy named Jackson. He raised the money by asking his friends and family to make donations to Wheelchairs 4 Kids instead of giving him birthday presents. He did this in memory of his sister Savannah who was one of our Wheelkids!  Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to provide Devon with an Easy Stand Evolve stander. The apparatus will decrease contractions in his knees while promoting better leg strength.

His mom sent us some pictures of Devon in his new stander along with a note: “I am so grateful for the wonderful gift you sent to Devon. Not only will it help him with his standing but also alleviate time in his wheelchair. He loves it. Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude for you!

Thanks again Wheelchairs 4 Kids! U Guys Rock!!!”
