Jordan’s Story

Wheelchairs 4 Kids partnered with the First Hand Foundation to provide a Freedom Concepts adaptive tricycle for Jordan. The specialized tricycle is helping Jordan to maintain his stamina and leg strength.

Jordan was diagnosed with Ullrich congenital muscular dystrophy which affects the muscles that Jordan uses for movement making him very weak. This 7 year-old boy walks with a leg brace, but only for brief periods of time. He is required to use a power wheelchair for long distance mobility.

Jordan enjoys reading the Chronicles of Narnia and R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps. Jordan is also a huge Star Wars fan. One of Jordan’s favorite activities is munching on ice cream sundaes while playing checkers at Cracker Barrel.
