Adam’s Success Story

Meet 11-year-old Adam. He was born a healthy baby until a tragic incident caused him to have cerebral palsy. His life is now very difficult. He is equivalent to an infant and nonverbal, although he expresses himself by making noises. He is unable to walk and completely dependent on his family for all tasks. He is also on a ventilator. Adam is joyful despite his condition.

Adam manages to have fun in various ways.  He watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and enjoys listening to a wide variety of music.  . His favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Adam also enjoys exercising while feeling weightless in soothing water.  He does all of this and more with a big smile. In this way, he shows uncommon courage and makes us all smile.

Adam needs a stroller with a recline feature. Thanks to the Sorensen Foundation, Adam has received his new adaptive stroller and is safer and much more comfortable on outings!
