Daniel is 17 years old and like most teenagers he enjoys video games,pizza and chicken wings! Daniel has been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, or CMT, which is a group of inherited disorders that affect the peripheral nerves, these are the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. There are 90 kinds of CMT. Each kind is caused by a different kind of mutation, and more causes are being discovered every year.
Because of this disease, Daniel is dependent on a power wheelchair for his mobility. The current chair Daniel has he got in the 6th grade!
