John Gets a Hoyer Advance Portable Lift!

Recently Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to get John a Hoyer Advance portable patient lift. John enjoys taking the time to unwind in the energizing waters of a pool. Unfortunately, lifting John into the swimming pool has become impossible, so along with its many other uses this device is going to be used to lower John into the pool.

13 year-old John was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The illness has hindered John’s ability to walk or maneuver a manual wheelchair. His mobility is dependent on a power chair. These hurdles do not prevent John from participating in fun activities.

The nature-loving boy is always ready to grab a pole and spend a relaxing day fishing in the Florida sunshine. Fishing is one of his passions and sometimes he will spend time in a local bass pro shop. Family is also important to John. And he is best-buddies with his awesome sisters. They gather around a table and bond the old fashioned way by playing board games.
