Meet Dominic!
Meet 4-year-old Dominic! Dominic was four months old when he started getting seizures. He has a diagnosis of epilepsy and polymicrogyria, causing a brain malformation in which he had to have part of his frontal lobe removed. He is unable to walk and can’t sit up straight.
Despite Dominic’s challenges, he remains a loveable and curious little boy. His favorite outing is going grocery shopping at Costco! He loves the high ceilings and large displays in the store. He enjoys listening to nursery rhymes, especially “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” and songs featured on the popular children’s show, Cocomelon. Dominic also enjoys watching Paw Patrol and YouTube sensation, Ms. Rachel. Much like his favorite character from the book “The Little Blue Train,” Dominic continues to be resilient and determined, with an “I think I can, I think I can” attitude!
Dominic was using a baby jogging stroller, which provides him with no support. He received a medical stroller that will help with his posture and positioning, so he can sit upright safely. The stroller is also portable and gives the family freedom of mobility and transport. Special thanks to Helen Brach for being his generous sponsor!
