Meet Andrew!

Meet eight-year-old Andrew. He was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Sadly, he recently lost his ability to walk and dance, and the latter was his favorite activity. His independent mobility is limited to moving around the floor. Andrew, despite his growing struggles, remains positive.

Andrew has numerous interests. He watches cooking shows or anything about pranks. His favorite films include Toy Story or almost anything with superheroes. He listens to upbeat Christian or Spanish music. When not listening to music or watching tv, Andrew has fun playing basketball by scooting on the floor and using a door hoop. This young boy is determined to get beyond his limits. He was sad not being able to walk or dance but he quickly returned to laughing and making jokes. He is always courteous, too. He attends school and asks his teachers, “How was your weekend?” In short, Andrew is a perfect boy. He inspires us all.

Andrew needed an adaptive tricycle to improve his leg strength and stamina. He can also have fun riding the trike. Thanks to a sponsorship through Athletes Helping Athletes, Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to help Andrew obtain the Adaptive Tricycle that he needed!
