Meet Davyd!
Meet 8-year-old Davyd! Davyd has only been in the U.S. for a short time, after recently moving here from the Ukraine. Davyd was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age. Doctors originally told his family he would be unable to sit up or walk on his own, but now Davyd is able to walk with assistance. He does, however, fatigue easily, and distances have become increasingly difficult for him.
Davyd has many fascinating interests. He is a huge Star Wars fanatic who enjoys watching both the movies and TV shows. His favorite singer is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Dayvd also likes riding his tricycle and watching boxing matches. Davyd is an intelligent student who picks up on things easily, and his favorite subject is math. Most importantly, Davyd remains a cheerful young man who is always smiling!
Davyd is in need of a manual wheelchair that he can use at both school and home. His current chair is only a loaner. A lightweight chair will help accommodate his high tone and poor muscle strength. Please be his sponsor!
