Meet Itzel!

Meet 13-year-old Itzel. She was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy. She has muscle weakness and cannot walk. Her spirit, however, remains strong.

Itzel has a few simple interests. She enjoys watching dramas on television. She is a fan of music in all genres. Itzel attends school, and her favorite subjects are language and arts. She spends most of her free time at home drawing and coloring. Itzel’s mom is teaching her how to do her own makeup and nails. Itzel is a sweetheart, too. She has a strength that helps her get through the hardest of times. Itzel sets her mind to accomplish goals and does not quit until she succeeds. She also loves helping people. Itzel’s name in Spanish means rainbow lady. Rainbows symbolize hope. Similar to the beautiful phenomena, we look up to Itzel for hope and inspiration.

Itzel needs a power wheelchair to give her more independence. Please be her sponsor!
