Meet Jayda!

Meet nine-year-old Jayda. She was born several weeks early and spent numerous months in intensive care after her birth. She also endures the illness cerebral palsy. She is nonverbal due to the condition. Jayda cannot walk, but she uses a gait trainer 30 minutes a day. She spends most of the time being independent by moving around on the floor. She remains a joyful girl despite these limitations.

Jayda enjoys several fun things. She listens to Christian music by the singer Joshua Aaron. She loves the movie Frozen and tv show Bubble Guppies. Jayda likes listening to her mom read the story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar–she giggles when mom creates voices for each character. Jayda prefers to be outdoors swimming or enjoying the sunshine when the weather is inviting. She is especially social. Jayda waves and greets everybody as if she was competing  in a Miss America pageant. Strangers even  end up knowing her name. A bubbly personality and heartfelt belly laugh are other wonderful aspects of the sweet girl. Jayda has the heart and smile of a beauty queen, but she has the courage of a warrior who inspires us all.

Jayda needs a wheelchair to provide her with better independent mobility. Please be her sponsor!
