Meet Denavi!
Meet 12-year-old Denavi. She was diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as Phelan-McDermid syndrome. She also has developmental delay. Denavi is nonverbal and cognitively equivalent to an infant. She is dependent on family for all daily living skills. The little girl remains in high spirits despite her difficult condition.
Denavi has versatile interests. She listens to a wide variety of upbeat music. She likes watching the Wiggles or the hit movie Frozen. Denavi is a fan of all things Disney, but she is especially thrilled going to the Magic Kingdom theme park. Denavi, however, simply enjoys going out and seeing her part of the world. Considering her challenges and unlimited spirit, we are blessed she lives in our world.
