Meet Galilea!

Galilea is a 15-year-old who suffers from methylmalonic acidemia, a rare genetic disorder that hinders the body from properly processing proteins and fats, and that can manifest through serous neurological problems, such as muscle weakness.    Galilea is only able to walk very short distances with a posterior walker, so she depends on a wheelchair for most of her mobility.  Her parents were informed by the insurance company that insurance would pay for a chair for her but would not cover the cost of the clothing guard (which prevents clothes from getting tangled up in the wheelchair) or the transit kit which would allow her to ride the school bus to school.  We are seeking a sponsor to cover just these two items for Galilea’s safety and comfort.  Please be her sponsor!
