Meet 15 year old Jimmy, who was diagnosed with Lissencephaly and Epilepsy at birth. Jimmy is neurologically disabled, and not able to care for himself in any fashion. Jimmy is dependent on his mother and other family members for total care.
Jimmy’s mom needs help transporting Jimmy, as he not weight bearing. It is difficult for Jimmy’s family to get him to therapy and Doctor’s appointments because he and his chair are so heavy. He has outgrown his transport wheelchair, and does not qualify for a new one yet through insurance.
