Meet Maricela!
Meet three-year-old Maricela. She was not meeting typical milestones and was eventually diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as SYNGAP 1. She is unable to sit or stand without assistance. Maricela also needs help with her gait trainer to walk. She is a happy girl despite these and other trials.
Maricela is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and her favorite character is Minnie Mouse. She listens to upbeat Disney music. Maricela loves playing with colorful balloons and balls. Her favorite place to visit is Myrtle Beach and swimming in its warm waters off the sandy shore. Most of all, she is a wonderful child. She is always happy and smiling. She loves cuddling with her mom—they are inseparable best friends. Maricela is known as a fighter who beat the odds and continues to surprise everyone with her victories. She inspires us all with her courage and strength.
