Meet Eddie “Michael”
Meet 18-year-old Eddie, better known by his friends and family as Michael. Michael is a joyful young man who was diagnosed as an infant with a genetic disorder known as Hunter Syndrome. He also suffers from cardiomyopathy and scoliosis. He is 100% dependent on others as he can’t walk independently.
Michael is a man of many interests! He loves Tyler Perry movies, especially Madea. He also enjoys watching the classic children’s TV show, Barney. Michael loves to swim, and visiting Legoland’s water park, as well as his local beach are among his favorite places. He is an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and is excited for football season! Michael’s favorite animals are dolphins, and he is lucky enough to live in a city where they are often found jumping and playing in the Gulf!
Michael is in need of a lightweight power wheelchair. He cannot propel himself in a manual chair, and he is getting too large for his mom to push him around everywhere. He is learning to drive a power chair with a joystick. This chair will allow him to become more independent as well. Please be his sponsor!
